Join Us!
Alliance Youth is a new organization bringing together young people who wish to promote Liberal, anti-sectarian and progressive politics in Northern Ireland.

What are our main activities?
- To run campaigns on domestic issues that affect young people (student debt, transport, youth facilities etc).
- To join international campaigns to promote freedom and democracy across Europe and beyond (anti-racism, free movement, pro-FairTrade).
- To support Alliance Party and Alliance-backed candidates at elections and promote the party between elections.
Who are we?
We are an umbrella grouping for Alliance and Liberal societies in Universities and further education, together with the youth wing of the Alliance Party.
Among our membership we have local councilors, members of Queen’s University Students’ Council, and members of the Alliance Party Executive. Moves advocated by Alliance Youth members saw Kieran Deeny join our Assembly Group, the promotion of finance as a key election issue, and the development of a strong record on suicide prevention and road safety.
What links do we have?
We are members of LYMEC-European Liberal Youth (and an applicant to IFLRY-International Liberal Youth), to give us leverage at European level, and proud partners of the Anti-Racism Network and Make Poverty History. Closer to home, we participate in the Inter-Isles Forum and North/South Forum, tackling issues such as homelessness, sustainable transport, and religion in politics.
